The crimes were allegedly committed against four women over the age of 16 at his home in Prestbury, northwest England, between October 2020 and August this year.

Mendy appeared before the Magistrate in Manchester via a video link on Wednesday.

District Judge Margaret McCormack referred the case to Chester Criminal Court, and the two will appear in court on Thursday for a scheduled hearing.

No application for bail was filed and the two were remanded in custody. The trial date has been set for January 24 next year.
