2023 Nissan Ariya starts at $47,950, and a cheaper version will be available soon

The road to production of the Nissan Ariya in 2023 feels very long, but it is truly over, and as the official pricing indicates, you can pre-order one now. Nissan drew a page from the Hummer EV script and only provided a few selected combinations. More changes will be sold later.

Currently, the entry-level model is the front-wheel drive Venture+. It starts at $47,950, and although it is a basic model, it has a maximum range of 300 miles. This comes from a liquid-cooled 87 kWh (usable) battery pack. It has an electric motor that can send 238 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels. It also comes standard with a CCS port for fast DC charging up to 130 kW. Standard features include LED lighting, 19-inch wheels, manually adjustable seats, ambient lighting, 12.3-inch dashboard, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, ProPilot Assist adaptive cruise control, and lane-centering And blind spot monitoring.

Upgrading to Evolve+ can provide you with exactly the same power system, but the cruising range is reduced to 285 miles. The price also rose to $50,125. In exchange for extra cash, you can get panoramic sunroofs, electric hatches, fog lights, electric front seats, automatic wipers, wireless phone charging and rearview mirror screens.

Premiere starts at $54,625 and has the same range and power specifications as Evolve+. It includes the hands-free ProPilot Assist 2.0 driving system, similar to GM’s Super Cruise and Ford’s BlueCruise. It is also equipped with unique wheel colors and illuminated side door sills.

The top product is Platinum+ e-4ORCE, with a base price of US$60,125. This results in a dual-motor all-wheel drive power system that can produce 389 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. The range of this powerful bag drops to 265 miles. It is equipped with adjustable power Nappa leather seats with memory and cooling function, adjustable power rearview mirror and steering wheel with memory function, active noise reduction, sports activated power compartment and Bose 10 speaker sound system.

More models will be available in the near future, some of which will be equipped with a smaller 63 kWh (usable) battery and 214 horsepower motor. These may lower prices. It should also be possible to add a high-output all-wheel drive power system to the lower trim in the future.

If you are interested in any of these initial products, Nissan can accept your reservation. Especially the premiere can only be obtained by booking. A refundable deposit of USD 500 is required for reservations. The first 10,000 people who book Ariya will also receive a two-year membership for EVgo and a $500 charge limit. Currently, Nissan is still eligible for the full US$7,500 federal electric vehicle tax credit.

Starting next fall, the first Ariyas delivered will be a front-wheel drive version. All-wheel drive models will be launched later in the fall.
